CATCHMENTS: WATER SYSTEMS IN ANCIENT ARID CITIES
In Syria, India, and Iran, this project explored water retention systems of ancient desert communities. Many were located miles from a reliable water source, and had to develop cisterns, cachments and channels to provide for large, pre-industrial populations.
